New software to track blood donor information

MedStar Health signed a deal with Global Med Technologies Inc., a Denver-based software company. The new software tool will use MedStar Health's technology to help track blood donors. The software will be used on MedStar's blood mobile vehicle to track blood donor information at its eight hospitals and share that information with other hospitals.
MedStar provides its services at the following hospitals:
- Montgomery General Hospital, Greater Washington, D.C.
- Georgetown University Hospital, Greater Washington, D.C.
- National Rehabilitation Hospital, Greater Washington, D.C.
- Washington Hospital Center, Greater Washington, D.C.
- Franklin Square Hospital Center, Greater Baltimore
- Good Samaritan Hospital, Greater Baltimore
- Harbor Hospital, Greater Baltimore
- Union Memorial Hospital, Greater Baltimore
